class=GramE>,chúng</span> tôi may mắn được học với thầy Vương Hồng Sển về môn
khảo cổ tại Đại Học Văn Khoa Sài Gòn.</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span class=GramE>Thầy Vương Hồng Sển không có
học vị cao, nhưng công nghiên cứu, sưu tầm cổ vật và sự uyên bác của Thầy trong
lĩnh vực khảo cổ lúc bấy giờ thì ít có người bì kịp.</span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span class=GramE>Văn viết hay văn nói của thầy
đều có vẻ mộc mạc, bình dân như con người và cuộc sống của Thầy.</span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
- Thầy rất trực tính: phê phán, nói thẳng không sợ mích lòng ai trước những sai
trái của người khác hoặc có kẻ nào đó làm ngược lại ý<span class=GramE>&nbsp; Thầy</span>.</span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Đối với những sinh viên đang theo học môn nghiên
cứu, khảo cổ của Thầy,<span class=GramE>&nbsp; Thầy</span> rất trân trọng và
tận tâm dìu dắt, chỉ dẫn. Ngoài giờ dạy trên lớp, giờ làm việc trong Viện Bảo
Tàng (trong thảo cầm viên Sài Gòn ), thầy bỏ công đi sưu tầm và mua những cổ
vật quí giá thuộc các triều đại xưa của Việt Nam, của Trung Quốc nhất lá thời
nhà Minh, nhà Thanh cũng như các nước lân cận. <span class=GramE>Những vui buồn
trong công việc nghiên cứu, sưu tầm, Thầy thường vào lớp học kể cho chúng tôi
nghe.</span></span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Một lần thầy<span class=GramE>&nbsp; vào</span> lớp tỏ
ra bực bội, Thầy cho biết: nghe ở Rạch Giá có một cái đĩa cổ thuộc đời Thanh
Trung Quốc nên Thầy đã bỏ công, bỏ của: tiền xe, ăn uống dọc đường, Thầy lặn
lội xuống tận Rạch Giá dò tìm của quí. Đến nơi Thầy mới thấy được cái đĩa “ đồ
dỏm ”, đồ giả mạo, Thầy cho biết trong việc đi nghiên cứu sưu tầm cổ vật của
Thầy, Thầy gặp trường hợp này cũng thường và mỗi lần như vậy Thầy cho biết
không có gì làm Thầy tức tối cho bằng.</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span class=GramE>Những cổ vật sưu tầm được Thầy
rất nâng niu quí trọng.</span> <span class=GramE>Tất cả Thầy tập trung trong
phòng riêng.</span></span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; - Thầy Vương Hồng Sển có tính khiêm nhường: có
lần Thầy vui vẻ tự mỉa mai mình “Tui chẳng có bằng cấp gì mà thiên hạ cho tui
là học giả mới thấy <span class=GramE>kỳ ”</span> </span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span class=GramE>Ngoài sở thích sưu tầm cổ vật,
Thầy Vương Hồng Sển còn có sở thích sưu tầm sách quí, sách tư liệu … mà ít
người biết đến.</span> Thầy là tác giả quyển “Thú chơi <span class=GramE>sách ”</span>.
Đối với vấn đề chơi sách Thầy nói <span class=GramE>với &nbsp;đám</span> sinh
viên chúng tôi là&nbsp; “Thà mất lòng một người bạn hơn là cho bạn mượn một
quyển sách”. Sách ở đây ta phải hiểu là loại sách quí, sách hiếm và nó đã được
Thầy đặt đúng vào vị trí trên kệ sách của Thầy <span class=GramE>rồi .</span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; - Thầy Vương Hồng Sển còn có tính trung
thực của một nhà khoa học:</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:
Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>Buổi chiều hôm ấy Thầy đến lớp nhưng vì
Thầy tức bực một sự việc mới xảy ra hồi sáng khiến Thầy không dạy được. Nguyên
là, theo Thầy kể, sang hôm ấy, &nbsp;Thầy cùng một Bộ Trưởng hướng dẫn Tổng
Thống chế độ cũ vào thăm Viện Bảo Tàng trong Thảo Cầm Viên (Thầy Sển được cử
làm chuyên viên Bảo Tàng này lúc bấy giờ). Thấy mấy cây “dái ngựa ” cao to
trước Viện, vị Tổng Thống này không biết là cây gì mới quay qua hỏi Viên Bộ
Trưởng đứng cạnh . Vì<span class=GramE>&nbsp; sợ</span> nói phải tiếng “dái”
không được thanh trước Tổng Thống nên mới nói trại đi là cây “nhạc ngựa”. <span
class=GramE>Sự bực tức đối với Viên Bộ Trưởng này đeo đẳng Thầy đến lớp.</span>
Sau khi thuật lại câu chuyện, Thầy nói với chúng tôi: “Sợ gì mà sợ dữ <span
class=GramE>vậy ?</span> Cái trái của cây này nó giống với cái “<span
class=GramE>ấy ”</span> của con ngựa thì cứ nói là cây&nbsp; “dái ngựa” như mọi
người chứ “nhạc ngựa”&nbsp; cái con khỉ gì!”</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cả lớp nam và nữ sinh viên chúng tôi cùng
cười rộ, Thầy cũng cười, rồi giờ học mới bắt <span class=GramE>đầu .</span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Đọc báo biết được hung tin Thầy mất đi ở tuổi thọ 94, đám học trò cũ của Thầ,
trong đó có tôi vô cùng thương tiếc. Chúng tôi càng kính phục Thầy hơn khi được
biết trước khi chết Thầy làm di chúc hiến cho UBND Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh toàn
bộ hơn 800 cổ vật vô cùng quí giá mà suốt cuộc đời Thầy đã bỏ ra biết bao công lao
tiền bạc mới sưu tập được. Những cổ vật quí giá này đã được trưng bày cho nhân dân
xem tại Bảo Tàng Lịch Sử Việt Nam tại Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh cũng như tại Hà Nội
trong dịp “ Kỷ nịêm 900 năm cố đô Thăng Long – Hà Nội ” và theo tin báo Tuổi Trẻ
số ra ngày 29/10/2003, trong di chúc mình, Thầy còn hiến ngôi nhà ở phường 14,
Quận Bình Thạnh, TP.HCM để làm Bảo Tàng mang tên “Bảo Tàng Vương Hồng Sển” sau
khi ngôi nhà được trùng tu (theo quyết định số 3874 của UBND TPHCM).</span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;line-height:14.4pt'><span
style='font-size:13.0pt;color:#333333'>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span
class=GramE>Thầy Vương Hồng Sển còn viết và để lại nhiều sách quí thuộc loại
nghiên cứu về phong tục, tập quán …và đã được tái bản nhiều lần.</span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:#333333'><o:p></o:p></span></p>
